Is there any reason we can’t order a pellet gun from the USA. As in a Beeman P-17. Pyramid Air has a Canadian Flag that takes you to a page, that I presume, is items that can be shipped to Canada. One of those items is the P-17. Anyone else ordered a pellet gun from the USA?

You are right, in PA's website, a Canadian flag means they can ship this item into Canada for you, however you need to pay the extra tax, habdling, customs, etc fees...

So, IMO, just take it as a reference and try to find the same thing locally...

As Ken said, Pyramyd will ship those items marked with a Canadian flag to Canada. But in order to determine what the product is really going to cost you. you have to go through the purchase process right to the end - just before you have to commit. At that point they will show you a total that includes US exchange, taxes, shipping costs, brokerage costs, etc. This is the cost you should compare with Canadian suppliers.

http://www.oshoot.ca is a Pyramyd distributor in Canada. Check their price against that of other dealers.

Yep~ in most of the time, although the price on oshoot looks higher than Pyramid, but actually you will pay less when check out with the total price than order directly from Pyramid.

In some other special case, i.e. Annually promotion event on Pyramid, or some special item you can't find in oshoot ( actually you can try to contact oshoot with the Pyramid item code first )... it's alright to order directly from Pyramid, they are good seller too.

Thanks all for the replies. Received my P-17 today. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to try it this weekend. Oh , I did check pricing and it was still cheaper to buy from the US as they had it on sale for $29.00. And the price you pay at checkout is all you pay. No hidden fees.

So $63.00 Canadian to Toronto. About $7.00 less than closest online dealer which would replace a defective out of the box item

That's for sure. Canadashootingsupply.ca has great customer service! And you are supporting a Canadian business.
I get it though, when you look at the American dollar price, it just looks so good!

Hi ten-ring ole buddy, ole pal. Just for the fun of it I went to the pyramid air site and put a P-17 in my cart. With shipping and exchange, it was $62.20. I did the same with the supplier you mentioned and it was $77.06, a difference of $14.86. But..... I also bought 4000 pellets of various sizes and saved a further $21.73 as they give you two cans free with that quantity. So, a total savings of $36.59. Now you know the rest of the story. Us old guys have to save where we can LOL

What kind of pellets did you buy?

I compared many place and found the most saving I can make is buying from forum store. Sniper Dan carry most of the big names and models we will use, mostly JSB .

And for H&N, eBay seller Nikonon carries most of them and ships locally with reasonable shipping charges

From AGS, we can find RWS pellets in a good deal of buy 5 tins and get the cheapest one free, and some of their pellets will be qualified for an 10% discount too...

For Crosman, just save the shipping and buy from local CT or PA ~

Hope this can help ~

Crosshair54, I stand corrected! Did the math again and P17, shipping and tax to my Postal Code $74.21 from Airgunsource.

PyramidAir $29.99 plus $17.22 total $47.21. which is $62.00 CDN But still wonder if other charges (Canada tax/ customs may be added) > is the ship charge they show at check out really the bottom line? IF I bought from AGS at free shipping sale would be closer to PA but
that may not happen until Christmas . So right now $14.00 savings with PA and hope for not a defective P17 to return.

You need to input credit card info and go to the final step before submitting your order to see the total price...

A P17 ship to Toronto will cost you USD 68.48... You can add exchange rate to CAD, and there should not be any extra charges anymore. Image
