Does anyone have experience with importing air rifles into Canada from Germany, in particular from the auction website Egun.de? I'm familiar with the importation laws in Canada but not sure about how difficult it would be to get an air rifle shipped from Germany? Possible or not advisable?

I'm interested in a few older 10m German rifles that do not come up for sale often either in Canada or the US.

Appreciate any insight or experience.

If they are under 500fps, giving a call to the Canadian Firearms program to make sure they have an exemption classification made up for them will help. Otherwise, making sure the shipper includes your pal number and the model and velocity of the gun in the manifest should be something you'd include for sure.
If there is an exemption classification, get the shipper to include that code as well (if it is under 500fps). The firearms program guys will guve you the number and if they don't have one yet they can make one up for that model if you have a scan of the user manual with velocity rating on it.

I’m pretty sure most couriers out of Germany won’t ship ‘guns’ regardless of type, power, etc. I was told DHL won’t touch them, but they will ship parts.
You might have to get an export/import permit and without a business license it may be difficult.
However if the seller is willing to work with you, you may get lucky. German airguns are being sold here so there is one way or another —> $$$

Probably the same as China, ups and FedEx won't ship air rifles from there. You can ship air freight or sea freight but it will probably cost $500 or more just for a couple guns.
