I just don’t get it why “professional” reviewers (aka Tom Gaylord, Denis Alder, Hard Air Magazine, etc.) won’t call a cat a cat!!!
The Spartan and the Max Michel 1911 are nothing more than redesigned Daisy Winchester 1911.
Same weird double Safety, same short slide lock, same unressesed muzzle, same cam peircing system, all made in Japan. Hey! Even the Daisy stick mag will fit both Sigs.
I’m not saying they are crappy guns. I own an Umarex HPP which is a remake of the Daisy 5501 and I love it. My point is I would like professional reviewers to stop taking their readers for imbeciles and pretend to be reviewing the latest “new” gun from SIG!
As for evaluating the Max Michel read the reviews on the Daisy Winchester 1911 apart from the cosmetic differences most will be relevant for both of the Sigs.
Because they're paying your salary, you can't say "well this X gun is in fact this Y gun but more expensive because some famous gun guru or brandname is on it".
You review the gun for what it is, a nice replica that doesn't actually have all the cool features we look for in a replica.
