I have a western/wild west/cowboy themed party coming. Of course I'm well equiped in gun replica (in fact I don't know what revolver to take) but I need a holster.
I'm finding either cheapo crap on amazon at 20$ or 150/200$ stuff. Is there something in between? Can I find something that won't rip open the first time I take the gun out but doesn't cost more than the gun I'm going to put in it?

Plinkercases might have something in stock.

I hear Plinkercases sells quality products. Also most of the major airgun retailers in Canada that sell the Colt peacemakers, like Air Gun Source & Replica Airguns, sell western holsters.

Or look a little deeper on Amazon.ca and eBay. Try searching "western holster" or "cowboy holster"

Just be really careful with open carry of a replica airgun in Canada. Could find yourself in real trouble.

I don't plan on putting the gun in the holster before we reach our destination and the party will be at work. We empty the showroom and put tables, chairs, a dance floor etc.
It won't be opened to the public so I should be fine. I'm not going to miss an oportunity to use one of my guns!
Hip or crossdraw? Peacemaker or Remington 1875? I have a non working Daisy 179 that I'd be willing to let someone use. It sure beats a plastique gun from the dollar store!

I think I tried everything you can think of! Cowboy, OldWest, WildWest, Revolver, Peacermaker + holster LOL
I'll keep on looking, it's still over a month away, it's our Christmas party.

Hi Doc...
i have a very nice Western Justice that I bought a year ago. They are very well made. I got the cartridge belt and the matching holster for my Colt SAA Peacemaker. You can't go wrong and they have 3 colors to choose from. For me it was quicker to order than having something 'custom' made that may not be ready in time for your event.
I know if you've never seen one of these...you can't be sure. But hey! J-F... if you'd like I could show you mine in person.
Your call with a PM.
Salut!
Hawk-i

Yeah I was looking at those. The holsters look nice but you gotta add a belt so it will end up around the same as the modestone one... I'm still shopping as I'll need a hat too. See if I can find a "package" with everything I need and maybe save a few $ (hey I have an M17 to buy right?)

Thanks for the links! I'll look into those stores too.

The hangy-down holsters and belts are a modern idea.
www.trackofthewolf.com actually has some more realistic holsters for the cap and ball and
colt/smiths, etc.

I have a large (long) plane black drop loop rig, right hand, with cartridge loops, likely to fit any SAA form factor which I picked up in an auction which I will donate the party cause for the cost of shipping... I am keeping my hat. It is good weight leather and well made.

It is for a big fella but I can shorten it if I get the correct measurements to work from.

feel free to email me at

maker at plinkercases.ca

I can get a picture and measurement of the existing length next Saturday.

Still be careful at work you never know when someone would get too excited. We had a gangster theme and I used a shoulder holster with a dollar store wood pistol instead.
