Post subject: Weihrauch HW44 Pistol Arrived

I picked up my new HW44 pistol in .177 today from the post office. Arrived in great shape, very well packaged as always from D&L.
We just returned from holidays so I did not have much time to do much more than put air into it and fire off 3 quick magazines to make sure everything was working as it should.

Initial impressions are excellent. Definitely a marked departure for Weihrauch from their more traditional designs. They’ve used ballistic polymer throughout this model. It feels great in the hand, unbelievably light trigger out of the box. Incredibly accurate as I was able to put multiple pellets through the same hole at 35ft without the time to properly sight everything in.

I’ll do a proper review soon when I’ve put it through it’s paces. But, at this stage, I’m pretty darn happy!

Has this been detuned to under 500 fps?

Yes, we get the 495fps version, with no moderator of course.

I believe they only got 4 in, 2 in each caliber. Despite the price this model seems to be very popular and in high demand for now. I’m sure they’ll get more in at some point.

Oh well, I had to wait quite a long time for the non-PAL HW-77 to be back in stock a while ago... it was worth it!

I just got an update from D&L Airgun that they won't be getting the next shipment of HW44s until March 2019.
