When you bought a cheap spring pellet gun and shoot it for 20 years with zero maintenance and never a problem. Bought a new Grizzly Razor for my tool room 10 months ago and it stopped shooting good and tore it apart to find a broken spring at both ends. Had a full power unused Hatsan spring I cut, flattened and installed. Got the gun back shooting 454 FPS again and now instead of a twang it always had, now just a thump. Hatsan spring much more solid than the cheapie spring in it. Shooting better than ever today. Tool room is 15 feet. Gun does get heavy use sitting beside my beer fridge. :D

Thank you to everyone here for the addiction and for keeping me up till 2am fixing it. Needless to say I was very tired at hockey at 8am this morning.

Merry Christmas to all. CHEERS!

It seems like material quality takes a back seat to profit margins anymore.
Sounds like it was worth the late night, though...

Extremely happy the way the gun turned out. Better than new and a much smoother shot cycle. Gotta hate the twang. Got more guns upstairs but I don't like resetting scopes just for two different ranges. :D I figured stay up late and fix it and go to sleep instead of going to bed and laying awake thinking about it all night . Wish sometimes I did not have that thinking in me but I do. :?

Good job! I'm dreaming of a nice long basement myself, maybe 15 yards, that'd be great for fun winter shooting as well as some archery fun with my daughter(s).
Anyway congrats on the better than new fi it!
