Last couple days. Ive tried to zero my Rebel, and been un successful. First time too much wind, second time too much rain ( destroyed the target ) but every time I take it upstairs. My gun sweats and glass fogs up. Just the exterior of the lens.

My basement is about 11 degrees, and I got a dehumidifier. So I would say its about 55% humidity. When I take it up to the main floor, Its about 20 degrees and 75%.. Instantly my gun will start sweating, and scope will fog up.

Gonna need to find a small discrete style case. That I can put it in, so I can get it to equalize. Leave it behind a couch or something. The enclosed porch would be ideal. But I only lock the door when I'm home. My folks don't got the keys to the screen door.

I've had my glasses fog up a few times before, in different places and different situations. I never quite knew why, but I know now.

It usually happened when I was wearing a mask as well as glasses, I assume now that it's because the warm air exhaled from my mouth, was going up towards the glasses, instead of straight out because the mask was in the way. Though sometimes it does happen without a mask on as well, so I take it in those cases it's because of the conditions in the room.

Temperature change will reek havoc on any optical device, either you give the sight time to acclimatize or spend a little extra on a better scope

As for your glasses wipe them with some dish washing liquid until they are streak free, and they won't fog up after. Works for a while and you have to redo it, I should mention it works on all glass surfaces
