Good story Pete. I have a similar story on how I got my Daisy 179 & holster back after it went missing for about 30 years.

Did not know the Crosman SA6 came with actual wood grips. Have only seen it, (and the 44) with plastic grips, in 3 colors. White with black inlays (on original Hahn 45 & early SA6's) Black with grey on later SA6's & brown on later 44's (in both .177 & .22 cal.).

Anyone know where one could buy a set of the old wood grips for a SA6 or 44?

Getting back to the topic, does anyone know if Umarex has shown any interest in coming out with a .22 ca. SAA peacemaker?

If Crosman could produce a .22 cal. CO2 pellet pistol in the 1950's, that shot a around 280 fps, there must be the technology to produce a shell loading .22 cal. version today that shoots at over 300 fps. Esp. if using a lighter (like lead free) pellet.

Also, why does Umarex sell more version of replica airguns from the American West in Europe & Asia, than it does in North America.

This would seem strange to me. One would think that the interest in old west guns would be as strong in the USA as it would in other countries.

Go figure.
