Shooting a D34 in .177 @ 10m almost dead centre. Haven't shot it for a few months, took it out the other day and the poi would shift an inch or more low. It would then shoot dead centre again and 2 or 3 shots later it would be shooting low again. Thought maybe the spring broke, but it looks fine. Would a bad piston seal do this? Any ideas?

Try a couple drops of Crosman silicone chamber oil

https://www.amazon.ca/Crosman-RMCOIL-Si ... B000R41LD4

Oil the breech seal, piston seal and spring. If you take the gun apart use molybdenum disulfide grease on the spring.

One or two drops of oil in the chamber is all you need to lube the piston seal.

If the gun " honks" when you cock it then you need to lube the gun.

I would ask what you have been shooting the last two months? I go to CO2 or PCP guns for even a week it does that when I go back to springers. My brain needs retrained to hold the gun much different than any other types of pellet gun. Usually takes a day (sometimes two days if extended time away) of shooting to get the springer feel back. Exact shoulder placement or front hand in a little different spot does that exact thing to me. Just a thought. CHEERS!

You may have something here! I have swayed away from shooting my springers regularly, so it did feel a little awkward regaining that springer "feel". Perhaps I will just keep shooting it for a bit and see if my shots become consistent over a few days. Everything looks good mechanically with the rifle, so I guess that leaves either the shooter or the scope at fault.
Thank-you all for the feedback.
