Just oiled my break barrel airgun then red on the back it said not for use with break barrels may damage your gun. Just wondering what damage can it cause?? |

Pelgun oil is just dyed 30W non detergent oil. It's not good for the combustion chamber, because it can cause dieseling, and damage to the seals. |

The term dieseling comes from the process of how a diesel engine functions. Cole Notes. The piston slams forward, it compresses the air, any combustible oils turn into vapor. When compressing air, heat is created and the vapors can ignite. |

Ok so its more somthing over time that would cause damage whats the best oil for lubing compresion chamber? |

Wow ok definatly noticed the velocity increasing and decreasing and thought it was my new scope not holding zero thanks for the useful info is there anything i can do to get rid of the oil thats in it that doesant involve taking it apart |
