I was wondering before I make the assumption. That the 22 cal version of the PP700SA, Sub 500 with it shooting mid/high 400s, is the same sound as the 177 version, shooting equal FPS ?

Has anyone compared the 2, side by side. I know my 177 PP700SA is one of the quietest airguns I own.

Thanks

They vary between guns but the 22 has a bigger transfer port hole so it tends to be somewhat louder, though if the factory set the reg optimally its still fairly quiet.

Well should said.. Would it be quieter than a 1322/2240?

I have the .22 version and shooting it indoors at the club is no problem. The air rifles, especially the CO2 match rifles in .177 are considerably louder than my pistol.
I have no experience with the .177 version.
1st picture is 10M standing 2-handed. The lower target is all from a rest, same gun using old Tasco red-dot scope.

Nice, I'm not asking about the accuracy, just the noise level.

What barrel length 1322/2240? While I switch back the original barrel to my 1322, its noise level just suprise me and at least double louder than my 14 inch 2240...

Stock 10.1 (1322)and 7.5" (2240)

The reason for the questions mainly on the noise.. I suggested someone use a PP700 SA in 22, for squirrel hunting while hes deer hunting. Since my 177 PP700 is the quietest pistol I own, And he was looking for the quietest. I assume the 22 PP700SA would be equally as quiet.

They've (.177 and .22) must to be very close. Outside, even my .25 Condor is not very loud, but indoors, it makes ear muffs mandatory.
The sub-sonic report will likely not carry far & it's report is quickly absorbed by nature.

Just tried my 14" 1322 and the pp700sa at same velocity, almost identical sound, so while not answering your question properly, it must be quieter than a stock 1322. That's is shooting at 495fps.
