As I’ve been going about selling off several guns the last few weeks I started taking stock of what I had. I began wondering about which gun(s) I’ve actually held onto for any length of time. I so often see (myself included) people listing guns that were barely used, and wonder why that gun wasn’t kept.

After going through my stockpile it looks like I’ve held onto my Evanix Conquest the longest, bought new in 2013. That’s 6 years. I keep it as the funds used to purchase it were a gift from family so it has more meaning to me. I’ve owned much older guns, but none that were owned by me for any length of time.

I’m sure others here have held onto their guns for much longer...

I still have my Crosman .357 with the brown grips I bought around 30 years ago.

Good question and good thoughts~

I started my hobby just about 2 years, and found my way for about a year something...

So far, among my collections, I don't think I will let go my Izzy 46M (you won't get another in your life time)
My 1322 and 2240 (just spent too much time and effort to mod and tune them)
My HW35E and HW30s, they are very very good shooter, and the previous owners just tuned them well I am not sure I can replicate their good job if I get a new one instead. But I think I will get more HWs in the future, so let's see...
My P3 and HW40, they are identical to each other but have their different setup and characters...

And other collections if they have to go, they must have some reason.... I think mostly would be need more room for new guns or need funds...

And the other reason I love this forum so much besides the good ppls is you can sell your guns here and buy good pre-owned guns here~

Slavia 630 around 35yrs ago. Diana 24 .22 around 30yrs ago.

IMO, these type of guns don't owe or cost anything. Keep them.

If you are looking for the latest and greatest, get rid of them. Next month, there will be a claim of a greater gun, only $50 to 100 more.

Crosman 66 Powermaster

My mom bought it for me back in 2002 (as I was in my early teens back then) and it's still my favourite go to air rifle.

Man some of you guys have held onto some guns for an impressive amount of time. Sure wish I’d kept my old Crosman from my early teens.

whaaat. no pics anybody. and how are we supposed to believe what guns you say you have. just kiddin. I ended up with the Crossman peacemaker (.22cal. with original wood grips. made in dunnville Ontario.) my brother bought it when he was around 17. my father took it away from him for shooting stop signs and stuff around town. that was at least 50 years ago. I got it fixed up a bit a few years ago. it,s a power house. very hard hitting. and pretty accurate. I painted it. double click on pics for bigger.

Didn't have an air gun when in my teens. Did have a .22lr from age 12 on. by late teens, had a couple CF powder burners.
Got re-introduced to air guns some years back Started off with a Bam 51 and Hatsan BT65 & a pair of HW's. Still
have the Weihrauch's but those 'early' PCP's were replaced with an Air Force Condor, Air Force Talon, Brocock & Gauntlet -
now have an HW80 in .177 - yet to be shot plus a couple PCP couple pistols, PP700 and 800.
