Hello,I am having a hard time adjusting the stock scope.
I am used to adjusting scopes having done dozens. (crossbow and bangstick)
Is it hopeless? Should I contact Gamo and ask for another?

I have a tasco that was causing me hard to adjust, and they are off, I later found out that the dove tail mount it had was off, so after replacing the mount it was fine.

What sort of adjustment is difficult? Power ring, won't focus, what?

I had a cheap bugbuster scope on a Chinese magnum springer, that after about
50 shots, the power ring could not be moved. I removed the scope, received warrantee
replacement on it & gave the springer to a friend.

I should really get back to shooting, but sleuthing has got the better of me today..
I would bet the rest of my ,177 pellet collection that the OP bought this:
https://www.cabelas.ca/product/92033/ga ... with-scope
And if you read the reviews... the scope seems to be junk.

Could be the pellets too, might be tumbling if they’re too heavy. I was ready to toss my package scope, but I tightened it all up and went through a bunch of pellets and found a match that gave me more consistent placement.

Thanks for that.
It clears up the issue I think.
Though I couldn't find any reviews it is evident you did. :D

Yes I should have been more specific as to the issue/issues.
If I want a precise air rifle it is necessary to ask precise questions.

As an aside the scope seems to have settled down a bit.
Windage has been tamed. Elevation still needs some adjustment.
But I will still look around for a better scope.

VARMINT rifle, with scope - as in a sub 500fps rifle advertised as a varmint rifle. That
I don't like, but surely good enough for mice and rats, I guess.

Good advice that.
Not the issue in this case but
almost all rifles shoot certain pellets better.
When I find a grain scale I am also going to weigh pellets to see how closely they match up.

There must be different versions as mine touts 1250 as its max.
Of course that is downhill in a reversed wind tunnel. :D

Well Daryl they do offer the Gamo Varmint in full power, And they don't bother re naming any of the detuned models. Never did, never will. A detuned Gamo Varmint is still a Gamo Varmint.

Thats like saying that A Inline 6 cylinder Charger should have a different name then the same model offered in V8.

Wasn't aware of the name deal.

The 1,250fps version will be hard on about any scope, any make.
