Let me know, I'm in contact with guy who made that repro' holster, in that review article, he also sold the original period holster seen in the Blog, to Dennis Adler

Thank you Tail Air Gunner for sharing that candid piece of information regarding Holsters.
As a matter of fact, I had posted a comment on Dennis' Blog in his 5 part Schofield No 3 review with regards to where did he get the holster for the Schofield. Unfortunately, I didn't get a reply from him as to his source...even if I've gotten replies from Dennis on previous occasions. Well..I can now understand that 'the' holster was a 'one-off' example.

Hi Hawk I
Your welcome :)

If you or anyone else is interested, we we could perhaps ask Allan, is he could make us a deal
if we were to order more than one holster.

We did not discus prices yet, as I want to wait to see if and when the 5" becomes available.
Based o what I've seen for pricing I think it might runs $125-$175 US. but that's my guess

Here is a video on Alan and Donna, and how they make holsters

You're right Jonathan. Plinkercases.ca as in Murray Oliver (maker) has made several fine holsters and magazine clip pouches for me in years past.
Not sure why...but haven't seen Murray active on the CAF for a very longtime. I suspect that his leathercraft was but a hobby and one had to be pretty patient for delivery as he made his wares during his spare time.
To make a holster he needs a 'model' airgun pistol to craft a pattern before actually producing them one at a time. On the other hand it appears that Chisholm's Trail leather are capable of producing on demand.
Interesting for sure. Price wise ??? not sure.
Thanks.

For sure I'd rather encourage a fellow Cdn,
I asked Allan at Chisholm's what the price is and if he offer us a deal to make more than one.
Based on some of this other prices, I think they would run $140 us but thats my guess

I'd be interested in getting a 5" Schofield holster from Allan at Chisholm's too if we can get the cost below $140 USD/each with a bulk purchase.

Cool, I suggest once we get the Schofiled 5" ..we can find out how many would order the holster...then we can approach Alain and see if he is willing to cut uis a deal

If Murray (Plinkercases) has time and interest, I'm sure he'd cut you a deal;
All it takes is a PM.

For those interested in having this holster made from a fellow forum member as an alternative...
Here is an email I got from him today

[i]"Hah! I was just thinking about all this. Life has taken me away from the forum for a while and leather work but not forever! I was told about this new gum by a forum friend just yesterday and i started thinking about all.of you and needing holsters for them. I have the long barrel but it will serve fine as the pattern for a 5 inch.
I hope to get to the bench a little over the next few months so this will certainly be a project for me. Share the news!
Hope you and yours and the other airgunners are all well.
