Is this the same Remington Express Hunter, break barrel, pellet rifle, other than the high powered spring/piston?

https://www.cabelas.ca/product/150178/r ... -air-rifle

That Princess Auto sells at it's regular (always on sale) price of $99.99:

https://www.princessauto.com/en/remingt ... 0008904518

Could someone please explain, why the difference in price (of $180)?

Princess Auto has been selling it at $99.99 for more than a year (when they can get stock in). Seems to sell out as soon as they get it in.

Cabela's has just listed it as a new item, at the price $279.99.

Maybe it pays to occasionally look around.

My airgun repairer told me to wait for sales at Cabela's.

Nobody here is going to have the answer to why. But maybe Crosman struck a deal with PA, and offered them blow out prices to move them. Honestly I wouldn't pay over 150$ for any Crosman break barrel.

Well one is PAL rated, and one isn't.

Right - The only difference I see is the one Cabalas is selling is the high velocity model listed as 1,200fps with alloy .177 pellets and the
one at PA is 495fps model.
Two-stage adjustable trigger. Calibre: .177. Velocity: 495 FPS.
Why the difference in price - that's a good question only THEY can give you the answer to, maybe.

The PA rifles could be new old stock or refurbs. Although this is just a guess - I once bought what I thought was a BNIB Daisy 953 at TSC stores - but I found out it had a Pilkguns trigger mod done to it, so someone had it before me. It was in a factory sealed box and otherwise looked new.
It seems the PA Hunter express has a long piston, see the post I started in the where to buy - it can be up-tuned somewhat, and for sure a full power ram/piston from Crosman.ca wont set you back $180+tax=$200

Is this the same .177 Remington Express Hunter, break barrel, w/scope, pellet rifle that Princess Auto sells at $99.99?

Princess Auto is selling it at $99.99. Seems to sell out as soon as they get it in.

Cabela's has it listed it at the price $249.99.

It always pays to look around.

You are correct......PA buys surplus items. They are either refurbished or overstock from another supplier(canadian tire would be my guess)

Looks like Cabela's is listening to the forum chatter.

They dropped the price of the Remington Express Hunter by $100 for one day only!

https://www.cabelas.ca/product/150178/r ... -air-rifle

Now getting a bit closer to the $99 at PA, once you factor in cost of upgrading the piston to high power.
