So I got a good deal on some pellets, well I hope I did. I picked up a few tins of Crosman SSP 9.5gr .22 lead free pellets. They where about $5 or $6 a tin of 250 which seemed ok. However, I didn't notice just how light they are till after I shot a couple in my WF600 then looked at the tin again and noticed the weight. It felt like I had dry fired the WF600, I assume that I should only use these pellets in my 22xx and 13xx type guns and not in any springers, is this correct? Thanks.

My feelings are the alloy pellets should NOT be fired from springers. It's hard on the springs & pistons.
It is even harder on the springs and pistons of the higher velocity springers.
Pneumatics, CO2 and PCP's only.

Yes, pretty correct ~

When talking about a light weight .22 pellet , it's still about 14g or heavy 13ish grains...

So, something just less than 10g... You are right, it's like dry firing... I agree...
