Hi folks,

My name is Igor and I'm from Mississauga.
Originally I'm from Croatia and I've got an Canadian permanent residence 3 months ago. So i came to live in Canada with my wife.

I'm interested for target shooting practice and competition by ISSF rules in air pistol.
I have a 9 years experience at that field and I don't wanna loose that, I like this sport and I wish to continue with it.

So, I have a few questions about this .......

1. Do I need to be a member of any club that I can go to the any competition??
2. Do I need a some kind of licence to have an air pistol??
3.
4.
5.

This way will be easier.

What do I exactly need that I can go to any type of competition by ISSF rules here in Canada???

I don't have a pistol here, even pellets, just a few basic stuff ..... where i can bought those things here??

Thank you in advance,

Igor.

Hello Igor, welcome on the forum and in Canada :D . Hope you'll enjoy our nice country!

I'm no expert in target shooting rules, but browse the forum and don't be shy to ask questions, there's a lot of good knowledge over here! I can tell you however that in Canada, you don't need a licence to own an air pistol if its velocity is under 500 feet per second / 152 meter per second.

For your pistol, make a search on Google, there's a lot of online resources in Canada, but I guess you could also find something in your area. You could also check the CAF store, it may be a good start. Good luck with your search!

Welcome, Igor to you and your family.
This is the right place for info on shooting - sorry I cannot help as I do not compete, however you do NOT need any form of license to shoot air or CO2 powered handguns here, as long as they are under 500fps. ALL commercial handguns here meet the rules for non-license.
