About 60 plus years ago I worked one summer to earn a pump air rifle. My sons were Each introduced to Ducks Unlimited air rifles before They even started grade one! A great training tool. I had a black powder store In the 1970’s but also handled the BSA line and still have a Scorpion in my possession! I have more than a couple of decent anti magpie/pigeon rifles. Recently I had the opportunity to gain possession of a Crosman 38T that had net been used for a couple of decades, but still held air in the CO2 tank. Yes it pushed the .22 caliber pellets out! It needed a left side scale for the handle. I looked all over for a set but ended up buying a .177 caliber 38T new in the box but my assessment it that the valve that send the CO2 out to the cylinder is stuck open. Put in a new CO2 and it spewes out the end of the barrel in 3 seconds. I have a complete rebuild set of rings & gaskets but am wondering if that valve is repairable or just replace it. I purchased the .177 just for a nice set of grips! |

welcome! I'm sure you can clean up your 38T valve! rebuild kits are very cheap and you may be able to simply clean and oil it up to function. cheers-matt |

Thank you! I was hoping that would be possible! Looks like I have some work to do on it. |
