Hi to everyone at CAF! I have been reading posts, reviews, and advice here for some time... and I finally decided to join your online community. I am very impressed and humbled at the level of expertise here, and I am grateful to everyone who has been so generous with their knowledge and experience! I look forward to sharing experiences and information on this forum, I should have joined years ago.

I live in rural Ontario, I have a modest collection of air rifles and pistols that are primarily used for recreation (ie: target shooting and plinking), but I do have some fairly problematic pest issues so I get a lot of practice! I am in the process of obtaining my PAL so I can dispatch pests more quickly and humanely... and of course it opens up new options for some very nice rifles that I have been reading about.

Looking forward to chatting with you all soon!

Thanks for the welcomes! The nearest urban center to me is Bancroft, I live in the Addington Highlands.

Love here since I joined few years ago~

And good luck on pursuing the PAL. it's really really really slow... Not sure when the classes reopens, and don't think you could receive the plastic card in next summer if you had everything and mailed them out right now.... :eek:

I think I was very luck as the officers looks working hard at the beginning when they resumed from covid (I submitted my application in Jan and received my card in late Jun).. But now, maybe they already gave up on clearing the file piles and the progresses slowed down again....
