I registered in this forum to exchange ideas with air rifle enthusiasts from Canada.
I have been involved with air rifles and air pistols since my father gave me my first air rifle.
But I have only been restoring and collecting them for the last 8 years.

Welcome to the group. We have several German/ex-German members in our club but whenever I ask them how to yell. "Stop or I'll shoot!" in German, they just start laughing. ;-)

Little story from the first week of my apprenticeship as a mechanic, my boss sent me to the carpenter down the street to get a package of wood welding electrodes.
Your username reminded me of this old story again (-‿-)

I will do my best to publish some nice photos, but as I am on site during the week (sometimes also at the weekend) I can only take some time off at the weekend to sit down at the PC.

I only had to say this once in the Bundeswehr and then I got into trouble because the person I called was an officer who had fallen asleep behind the officers' quarters and was on his way to his quarters at three o'clock in the morning. But my captain straightened him out the next day and he had to apologize to me, because as a patrol soldier I was obliged to check on him.

Thank you for the welcome. I think on the whole there are the same weapons here in Germany as in Canada.
Only the large caliber airguns like Airforce Airguns that are sold in North America I haven't really seen here.

Well, it started with rediscovering the first air rifle my father gave me.
It was a Diana 27 from 1952 and was what we call "garden artillery" here in the countryside. They were used to defend the fruit trees from the birds.
I then restored the rifle and it worked like the first day. I was so impressed with its robustness and durability that I decided to buy more old rifles and bring them back to life. That was the beginning of the misery. Basically there is no specialty, I have Walther, Diana, Krico, Haenel, Weihrauch and so on. At the moment I'm trying to buy a Walther Jaguar at auction, a rifle I've never heard of. The man wants to sell but you have to pick up the rifle in Berlin. and that's 700 km from my home.
That's a long way by German standards!
