 Post subject: crosman piston seal

I am having a heck of a time fitting a piston seal onto the piston. The rifle is a crosman optimus. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Just did this last month.

Line up the seal on one edge of the piston circle, the use a flat head screwdriver to "lever" the other side of the seal in.

Just put the seal in some Hot Water for a minute and slip it on...
No must no fuss..Same if you are repairing a garden hose.

+1 for hot water
any rubber part will do the same, i used to do this when installing them on cars/bikes

and lube it up after, she's good to go.
