Post subject:  Gamo PR 45 problem

My 20 year old Gamo PR 45 recently gave up the ghost. It did so in what seems like an odd way. It would shoot. Next shot, nothing. I would cock it again, and it would work. It did this a couple of times, then it stopped working. Now it doesn't hold any pressure. I've never attempted to take apart or repair any air gun (never needed any repairing until now). Anybody have any ideas on what may be wrong and how to fix it?

My Gamo Compact had that problem and a couple drops of Pellgunoil in the chambre fixed my problem .
Or it could be something else .

Try the oil method suggested by under500fps first. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to replace the o-rings.

Can you hear the air escaping? or is it a sear/hammer engagement problem?

The suggestion of under500fps seems to have done it. Thank you.
