I will say good work with the caveat that I too have old eyes...... What are you sanding with a oscillating sander? |

I don't know the name of the machine, but for the thumb part, its a machine the has a sanding paper that goes up and down, and for the bottom part of the grip, i used a cut out tool and then sanded by hand |

Alright so started the other side, to get an idea of how it looked and shaped my hand, first off it was wayyyy to thick, i will have to cut off from the thumb side, and reshape the right side, heres how it looks as of now, and the wood is Black Walnut so still have lots of shaping to do but when its going to be done i will be very happy that it will fit perfectly my own hand. |

As a suggestion (since I have done mine yet) I was going to wrap a piece of wood in plasticine (or modeling clay) and then work my hand into it to the shape I need/want then I would have a 3d model of the target shape to guide the shaping of the wood. still cool to see you working it out. keep posting. |
