Hi,
I have a slavia 620 in .177, its in great shape, was made in 1968.
I feel it needs a new main spring or complete piston/spring kit.
I checked its velocity on my Chorny and its shooting 325 fps max now.
Somebody could tell me where can I find its spring or any good gun smith to install the spring near GTA area?
thanks

It will most likely just need a new piston seal and a new spring.

The old piston seal might be made out of leather. If it still looks reasonably fine, you can revive it by soaking it in oil. Otherwise, you can cut a new piece of leather and fit it. Get out the old spring post the dimensions here. I'm sure other members can point you in the right direction for the replacement spring.

You can google the diagram for the 620 and easily take it apart. There might even be some disassembly photos. Just watch out for the spring preload when undoing the endcap. But since you said it shoots at 325fps, the preload should be weak or non-existent. Nevertheless, exercise caution.

Once you get the spring out, go to D&L click on accessories, scroll down to utility mainspring,s and click on more info. A wide range of spring sizes available from them. Order some pellet,s and anything else you may need to save shipping cost,s while you,re at it.
