Seal, doesn't look bad at all, valve could use a polish though. Say, what's the difference between a metaphor and a ammerphor?

Replace both o-rings. The check valve (the little round white thingy) can probably be reused. The valve stem must be replaced. The most prevalent leakage spots are the valve stem and the large (probably cracked) o-ring on the outside of the valve. The small seal in the transfer port often compresses and doesn't seal well, lowering velocity, so replace it too. All the parts can be ordered from Crosman Canada for cheap. Watch the length of the shaft on the replacement valve stem. It will probably be longer than the OEM valve stem. Cut or file it to the same length as the OEM stem.

Make sure you replace the pump cup! (Not shown in your pics). Old pump cups might look OK, but they are prone to hardening over time, preventing an airtight seal when pumping.

That's a nice red handled sight adjusting tool.

Interesting part, I’m not going to start a new post I’ll just add pictures and information on this one Now my 766 was made in August 1979 so it is a phase 2 with the tapered barrel shroud the barrel is part 766-D109 .177cal, can’t find a replacement (766-c101 is different but could work) now that I have this 766 apart I found this interesting part 766-112 (see picture) now none of the EVP drawings I looked at 766/2100 show this screw attachment So is this a one time model year part, and if it is why?
Thanks Mike

Well found a picture of a 1979 with that screw it’s the barrel support, although replacement part doesn’t come with flange for screw, keep in mind if you ever need one, I don’t
Still waiting for for my seal kit so I decided to highlight the right hand receiver, still needs a final clean up but looks better
