Probably 90's could be 80's? Is this worth fixing, from what I remember it was a good shooter at long range also. Now when I load a co2 cartridge it empties inside the main body not sure exactly, here to ask if its worth taking apart and fixing? Any links for repair kits or seal kits. :) thank you!

That is a keeper. Early 80s model with a the pot metal barrel housing in 8". Contact Eric at scopes and ammo for parts. Well worth the fix IMHO.

Nice, just what I wanted to hear.. I'm going to guess its a standard kit for the 80's models?

Definitely worth fixing, Eric has the whole valve kit for something like $20.00. Plus, you can easily stuff a .22 barrel in there. Fix it.....

Thx for posting, ordered the kit last night and two 10-Shot (.177 Pellet) magazines as the one I have is only a six-shot. If I had known about the .22 I would have ordered some .22 mags. too. Is it just a matter of taking the old one off and the new one goes on and that's all that needs to be done? cheers

Well now that the motivation is there, I've decided to make some wood grips out of walnut. I would also like to refinish the exterior. Does anyone know what the finish is? paint, powder coat, etc....

So, no input..? think I will go this route http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKfu3lLsDVg I have some stainless paint, the metal flake is actual stainless. What do you guys think? stainless with walnut grips.. should look sharp.. no?

I've ruffed out the grips and will have to pick up a sanding belt to finish them up.

That would look alright IMO...with the walnut.

Bought mine late '80s or very early '90s...came as a kit with the 8" and 4" barrels.

Far as I know, there never was a .22 version from the factory. I did turn a .22 barrel for the 8" housing, IMO it's not really impressive as a .22cal.

Hey Gippeto! Appreciate the info.. think I will keep it the way it is. I think going down a caliber makes sense, but going up you loose power. Grips are ruff sanded, going with the mahogany. Might stain them darker, so it looks like walnut? I completely dismantled the gun today, and started wet sanding parts. When inspecting the barrel noticed the rifling was very minimal. All I have to compare is my new benny classic .22...
