Have you finally got to the bottom of things when it comes to the Alecto, chev? Is the valve pressurized, or can you move the valve stem?

I have put the Alecto .177 on the back burner, as I now have the .22 version.
I have been in contact with Randy Bimrose who is an authorized Webley service agent and he said he has several with the same problem and does not have an answer for me. He has not given up on it but cannot say when he can have a fix.
I will get back to it sometime but for now, it's not very high on the priority list which is too bad because it's an awesome pistol.
I may compare the two side by side to see if I have made an error in re-assembly but that will probably be later in the spring when I have more time.

I was just told my Webley Alecto that has had only 1500 pellets though it isn't worth fixing. Air rushes out on each pump and there is no pressure. They want $150 to fix it and I was advised by the store that it isn't worth it. They had several customers complain. This has happened tree times in its life and two of them were under warranty. I should have spent a $150 more and got a really good pistol. I never even pump more than once, since I shoot only 10 yards. I've had Crosmans that lasted 20+ years. Go figure.

So I suppose you've got nothing to lose by trying to fix it yourself? If you're willing I'll try to help if you want, like sending me pix and info. Either way I would love to see pix of the problem part and the fix, and I'm sure others would too.
I'm betting it's at the end of the smaller tube, either the check valve or the seal.

Yes, I would be interested in seeing a pic of the problem part as well. I still have my .177 sitting on the shelf and am curious if we both have the same issue. I assume your $150 fix is replacing the valve assembly ... I thought it was more like 120 British Pounds.
It is an awesome pistol and I think if I could fix mine for under $150, I probably would ... it is an expensive fix though.
