For members who have experience with this, do you think the barrel for a 2240 be a drop in fit to the Marauder ? I'm thinking of fitting a 177 barrel to my cal 22 m-rod and thinking of getting a bolt probe which applies. Any ideas if this would work? I'll be having a rifle in 2 calibres if this works. Or would machining be needed for the proposed barrel? To add, if this is possible, any experts out there to do this?

Thanks!

Thanks to both of you Alex and Gipetto! I'll try to contact the two names mentioned.

Why not just buy an m-rod barrel ? It will probably be less expensive in the long run.

You could try AirGunEric at www.scopesandammo.com ....

The barrels are the same OD, but the one for the MRod has an O-ring groove inside it instead of the O-ring being carried by the bolt.... Transfer port is in a different place as well.... The 2240 barrel is, of course, only 8" long (and .22 cal) while the MRod is 20".... Crosman do make a .177 barrel that is 24" long for the Disco that can be machined to fit the MRod if you can't get an MRod barrel....

the 22xx barrels are close to .434'' , and the mrod are .5'' ive done a couple barrels in the last few weeks and basicly you need cut the 22xx barrel off past the port, and thined .. then to have a sleeve pressed on and then it would fit . not a big job , but it would cost as much as buying the proper barrel... if that is possable .
