The story starts with a purchase of a 12FP kit from AGS (Air Gun Source) to put in my ProSport. AGS sends the unit but once installed it is punching out 14+pounds. As I didn`t think this had much to do with AGS I contacted Vortek directly. What a pleasant reaction.

Firstly I spoke with Jacob , son of founder Tom Gore and he had one foot out the door to get some orders shipped. He was stumbling over himself with accepting the fact that they had made a few units what were too strong. He really wanted to help but was committed to get the shipment out. He said he would contact me the next day.

Well I called first and ended up speaking with Tom, he suggested a modification that I could do and after doing it ,it caused a ping in the shot sycle.

Got back to them , no further questions, Jacob said, "We will send you a new unit with the right power", and keep the old one ..
True to their word it showed up in the mail box.. and now is happily in my Pro Sport.

Great people to know, and this is my 3rd Vortek kit in 3 different springers, 1 have at least 10,000 shots through my "Vortek" HW97K with no hiccups.. (Maybe that`s why I placed 3rd in the Hunter Piston division at the 2014 Canadian Airgun Field Target Association Championships my first time out, Watch out this year.)

Thanks, Tom and Jacob .. :drinkers:
