Anyone seen anything like this before?:

http://anotherairgunblog.blogspot.ca/2015/03/a-simple-bulk-fill-system-for-makarov.html

I don't go through anywhere near enough CO2 to make it worthwhile but it looks interesting and more promising than the expensive and somewhat questionable high pressure air 12 gram CO2 cartridge conversion that was on the main forum a little while back.

Not exactly like that, but ones where the CO2 had a fitting threaded directly into it. I guess it all depends on how much room you have for the fitting and at what angle you want it to come out. I can see using it to feed from a larger tank so you can sit and shoot all day, but it seems like a lot of work to charge that little tank. If I were to charge it like that I suppose I would use a different fitting, and no threads so I could charge it in a couple seconds with no tools.

From what I see there, ounce installed you do not remove the cartridge anymore from the mag., You just remove the mag from the gun, refill from a CO2 thank, insert and shoot. Meaning the big (ugly) brass fitting stick's below the gun. :?

Ace: No, this puppy here which is just a heavy duty CO2 shaped piece metal with a 1/4" NPT hole in the side so you thread in whatever you want to feed from a larger tank. Of course it's not for storing, it's simply an adapter to connect a larger tank to your gun so you're always tethered to the big tank. No use for that on in the pistol unless they have one with the hole in the base which I doubt, but you could drill/tap a hole. "If" I wanted something like that I might just drill/tap an 1/8" fitting into a spent CO2, but I can't recommend it since it's no doubt not safe per some official safety code. If you wanted a rechargeable one so you aren't always tethered to a tank then you'd need a valve like in the original post or that vid. I could see that I suppose, but weighing the price of CO2's to the cost and hassle of filling I would not do it. If I did I'd want to be able to fill w/o removing it from the gun and w/o threading fittings, basically I'd want it like how you fill a butane lighter.
