Suggested by Joe that I ask about a new 2240 frame set that is available? I'm looking to start a build from scratch, and I'm looking to buy the frame set without bothering to buy the entire stock pistol. Not much point in buying it simply to swap everything out. Does such a thing exist?

Found that, is that what you're looking for?

The linked to piece is a bare frame...no sear, no trigger, no pins, no shims, no spring, no safety, no little safety ball, no safety spring, no side cover, no screws...you get the idea...BARE. You need the other parts to make it functional.

This one has all the bits;

But is still single stage...can be made pretty good, but still sucks hind end if you want heavier striker springs.

THIS one is two stage with a drop sear...but is (JMO) RIDICULOUSLY priced! :shock: A nice piece of kit and can be adjusted to be pretty darn sweet IMO (have two of them, want more :wink: )

Would suggest you pick the flavor you want and check with Eric at Scopes and Ammo and Joe at HPA Sports.

Thank you gentlemen.
I believe the upgraded version is the one to go with. However, they do not shop to Canada. Will have to figure something out.
I'm not quite close enough to the border ( a few hours ) so having it drop shipped and picked up after fees actually adds probably another $50.
Wonder if we have any U.S. Members who can send up to us Canadians?

No problem getting HPASports shipped to Canada. I have had a breach and a grip frame. Their Grip frame has the absolute best trigger for the 22XX and 13 XX.

Would love to have a few more grip frames.

Rick, the frame set they list as single stage, would you say it's as good as one of the two stage sears that can be swapped in to replace the factory single stage?

Never tried one of the super sears that they sell so couldn't give a fair comparison!
I like single stage triggers. Too many years behind target and sniper rifles.

I have the 1701-P grip frame that is in the second link- on my disco-based build. Got mine from scopesandammo, albeit a bit pricey. Worth it in the long run.
At least it's a Canadian dealer. Also have the same unit on my 1701-P :mrgreen:
We need to get a shoot set up for us locals soon....
