Practical design is the fundamental reason for a long, creepy trigger pull on this style of gun. They are not true semi-automatic pistols, but rather a disguised double-action repeater. The trigger does all the work - there is no blowback energy to advance the circular magazine and re-cock the trigger. That's what you will feel in the trigger, and there is very little you can do about it. However, do make sure that the pellets you are using are not too long for the magazine - protruding pellets in a best case scenario will add further friction to the magazine cycle. Many domed pellets (preferred by most) fit just fine, but there are some that are just long enough to have the dome protrude ever-so-slightly beyond the width of the mag. Pointed pellets are most assuredly too long, and wadcutters are the safe bet.

P.S. the stock is gone.
