Well....I discovered why the stock screws were constantly coming loose after 30 shots or so(Crosman Venom).....no matter how tight I cranked them.....It turns out that after cocking the barrel 20,000 times or so over a four year period....the screw holes have become oval shaped. Is there any way to repair this or is it time for a new stock?I have since switched to shooting my .22 Nitro Phantom anyway.....which has NEVER had the stock screws coming loose.

. . . .Is there any way to repair this. . . .

What's your level of "handiness"? . . .
Cut the ovaled hole round. Epoxy in a suitable plug or sleeve(brass/delrin/hardwood/?). Install stainless/brass washer under the stock attachment screws to
protect the new seat, and ensure they're not bottoming out before applying suitable clamping force. Loctite into place.
Voila! As good, or better than new, depending on your answer to the first line. . . .
Good Luck!
