I had some time this afternoon, and with an SA6 arriving (hopefully) this week sometime I produced a set of prototype grips. Finished with Red Mahogany Danish oil. If anyone wants a set something like this let me know.

They look quite nice! I'm still not sure about the olive oil (extra virgin?) but well carved!

I broke down and bought the Danish Oil!! Its Danish!!!

LOL good idea!
I used linseed oil when I was in shop class in school, with two light coats of varnish over it and light sanding in between it still looks good today (I bet).

hmm.. varnish... maybe if I do a stock....

I have ebony piece of wood , could you be able to work on this too ?

Ebony is VERY difficult to work - it is crumbly, extremely hard to carve (chips come out as dust, V-difficult to shape & carve. Here's a pistol stock in Ebony.

here it is, a 17th Century Dag (German Wheel Lock Pistol)

Beautiful Ebony Carving
Ebony is hard to work , but not that hard when you use electric tools
but i dont know why you show me a $8,000.00 gun when i can barelly purchase set of standard colt wood grips...

I only showed this ebony stocked pistol to demonstrate how beautiful it can be.

Too, when you look at the work done on these grips - file marks, etc. Well, it's your piece of ebony to do with as you please.

I suggest you make your own.
