I wrecked the original seal by over tightening a powerlet, and I'' wonderinf if anyone has a source for new seals? I have had some success with silicone and I'm trying some new methods to make them but an original seal would probably work best.

Suggestions? Ideas?

These are what I've made so far.

Couple ideas....

Could try soft plastic....lid from a coffee can type.

Some soft drink bottles have a soft insert seal...might be some type of urethane, not sure.

Good luck and please share your results...sure some other folks will be interested. :)

So today's experiment was a new silicone seal. After disassembly I removed the old seal, which I had cut out with a knife rather crudely. You can see where it blew out, I think this was due to the cuts left when I made the hole in the middle. Beside it is the replacement seal I made with a hollow punch and a leather punch out of a silicone baking mat. It's the same thickness as the original seal and fits nicely compressed into the hole.

I reassembled the entire gun and fired 50 or so shots through it, and it is holding. Of course the other one held for about a week so I will see how long this one lasts.
