Has anybody converted any CO2 gun to take Green Gas? just wondering, because this is very popular for airsoft and its a lot cheaper.

My guess would be because of the lower pressure of green gas it wouldnt provide enough pressure for the heavier lead/steel pellets/bbs.

CO2 runs around 900psi and Green is only 200psi........I think.

CO2 run at 800/900psi aprox (temp sensitive), green gas run at 115+/- (printed on my bottle) probably different from one manufacturer to another.

I have a 6mm glock that I bought CO2 mags and felt a sure increase in fps, louder and kick harder. On green gas with standard lenght barrel you will get 290 to 310fps, with CO2 you will get betwen 340 to 360fps (I was told so by an airsoft addict) depending of the gun. If I can find some one with a chrony in the Mtl area I will test it of course. With the extended barrel I should get 390fps on green gas and 410 to 450fps by adding the CO2 mag, again depending of the gun.

The last batch of CO2 cart cost me about $0.65 each and am looking to buy 150 unit from Maria witch come's to $.074 each, more or less cheapest for the moment. Thinking that the best around (localy) all are selling at $1.00 each...

Unless you are planning on using propane (a lot cheaper), be aware that propane smell's bad indoor, outdoor is ok. But think that your gun will retain that smell to. I gave some tought on that solution for a while but let it go because of the ''Retain the SMELL thing''...
