I have been following the Forum for years, but due to poor computer skills, it took time to work up to sharing my project with others having the same interests. Even now, my wife does the typing and I tell the story...

After I shot my window-frame with my hard-recoiling Benjamin Prowler, trying Tom Gaylord's artillery hold, I decided it was time to get into PCP because CO2 cannot develop that kind of power. I wanted one that was inexpensive and sturdy and settled on a B-50 from Sniper Dan. Very simple based on Daystate Huntsman. What is good enough for Daystate, is good enough for me. Had to replace seals and valve stem almost immediately. After shooting just a few pellets, the valve stem seal broke.

Accuracy was so-so. It clocked 1070 FPS with Crosman 7.9 grain domed pellets. After some valve and hammer work, it was breaking the sound barrier with 9.3 grain RWS Super Mags and 2100 PSI. It shot wildly until it got below sonic crack. Then I could get .5 inch 5-shot group at 40 yards, but only if I did my part.

If you happen to be planning on attending the Hunt Mania Sportsman Show in Camrose, Alberta this weekend, I will be there with my son and Shop- Partner, Jacob Balan. I will have me:
-my Bam B-50
-QB78, with repeating breech and modified cocking system
-Crosman 2240, with repeating breech

If you want to see these up close and personal, drop by our table.

Ron
