Hi, i have problem with my Beeman 1040.
The pellet jam in the barrel and i don't know what's wrong.
Is that possible my barrel is scrap ?
or my spring action have lose power ?
or any other suggestion why ?

Thank's for helping

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Not sure I quite understand, at first you seem to assert that there is (are) pellets stuck in the barrel but then go on to suggest it could be the action. Have you actually looked down the barrel? It may help to shine a flashlight on one end. Since this is a break barrel, there's no need to fully cock the gun, just break it enough to look down the barrel without compressing the spring.

That'd be a first good step. Hopefully you haven't fired too many shots if indeed there was a pellet stuck in there. If so there is only one person in this forum that I know of that can unjam the most stuck of barrels (yes, the Ace man).

Try this as a first step and let us know what you find.

Seemed to me he was just wondering why the pellet got stuck, and asked if maybe his barrel has something wrong with it, or if it's a lack of power ie broken spring/piston problem that caused it to get stuck.

if the pellet isn't making its way out the barrel then it sounds like you haven't got the adequate power
to push it out, in which case you need to see if ether your spring or piston seal is shot...or your piston isn't moving
smoothly in the tube...

Thank for you reply.

I try to clean up the barrel but nothing change, it's look to be strait. You can see, same after cleaning it its look like it still have something in it. (see the picture)

How can i check if it's a spring/piston problem ? Every think look normal at this point, but maybe there's a leek...

I don't have good experience in airrifle repair, so its hard to tell what piece i need to change.
Do you think's its the barrel assembly ?

Thank's

Thats just Lead in the barrel needs to be cleaned

its probably the Main seal (plunger) thats worn out but cant say for sure could also be the spring

that little debris will not prevent the pellet from exiting the barrel provided you have sufficient power...i wouldn't worry to much about the barrel that's not the issue...
one way to check if the seal is gone is to cover the air port with one finger while cocking, be very careful when doing this make sure you have a good grip... you should feel suction on your finger tip, if no suction then your seal is probably toast, if you feel suction then it might be your spring...
you'll have to take it apart to see for sure

Did you try the breech seal tissue test ?

Place a layer of tissue over the breech and shoot to see if the tissue moves, if it moves it would indicate a leaky "O" ring / breech seal .

More info please. From cocking it to shooting it, what is different than before and what exactly happens? Sounds like you were saying the fired pellet gets stuck in the barrel. Like if your breech seal were missing it may cause that... Let us know

I try the tissue test and its look good. nothing move

The feel when i break it and shoot is the same as the beginning. I still feel the spring tension
I hear the spring release as normal when i shot.

I begin to think is the breech seal or the spring seal.
Do you know a good place where i can order it online in canada ?

I suppose it's possible the main seal fell off. I'm not familiar with all the cheap Beeman guns part #'s but if it's the most common type they sell it has a main seal held on with a screw, if it falls out you'll have what you describe. If so then it no doubt trashed the screw and possibly damaged the transfer port a bit, maybe even the threaded hole in the piston but all should be easy fixes.
So I'd take it apart for a look-c... Or I suppose you could cock the gun then shake the gun or tilt it up/down and listen for said screw.
