I wnt to drill out the piercing cap and install a male NPT foster QD but the screw wont budge.
Scratched up the inner, looser barrel in the cap with the bench vice even with an bike inner tube.

So tight!

Have you shot off the remaining gas in the tube? If not, that's your problem. RC

Cap is not on the gun. I have it in a vice. Just the cap. No gas.

I want to drill and tap it for bulk fill but can't remove the SCREW. The cap is two pieces connected with a screw/bolt.

So tight this screw is!

I would think that when you drill it to the tap size for the foster filling the screw will be removed by the drill bit any way .

just my 2 ¢

Right, good thinking.

I'll take it to the machinist shop as is.
I have two caps so not trying to save the piercer on this one. They can have at it.
