Oh, for the steel breech, you can also replace the stock bolt to aftermarket ones, longer bolt handle, longer probe, brass, stainless steel...etc etc...

And better hold on the barrel...

It just related to many other things, so why it's rated as the first necessary mod for the 2240...

I put a red dot on it with just the 3/8 mounts that clamp on the barrel.

Ya, that little transfer port piece is really kind of stupid... Really poorly fitting, probably a million ways for that to leak. And that .5 Allen screw is just plain silly.

Only drawback to all the mods is it'll spend more time on my bench then during pellets. Which is what I bought it for. But for the price almost warrants buying a second to just make efficient so I can use it for its intended purpose and customize the second one. Or a different model. These things are dirt cheap. I bought mine from Sail for $79.

The magazine kit looks cool but damn expensive. I like the idea because where I put the red dot it half covers the breech and makes putting pellets in a bit tricky for big sausage fingers.
However, I mounted the dot relatively far back for weight distribution. But with the spring tension screw assembly the gun should be more balanced and I can move the dot forward.

For the cost of adding a magazine to the 2240, the Snowpeak CP1-M is a nice looking pistol already setup as a repeater and is very affordable.

Give up on moding the 2240 and find other new toys already?! [emoji16][emoji16]

CP1-M has good reputation and similar to 2240, you may also be interested in the new Diana Chaser, talk to wesb2007, he might give you more detail on these ~

The multi shot mod for 2240 is good, but right, too expensive... I think about it several times, but end up not spending the money...

Multi shot. Well they made a 4 shot gravity mag for the 2240 steel breech, for under 35$ that works well.

I've been waiting for that gravity mag from DIY guy on the GTA forum. Did he ever bring it to market or is someone else making them?

Not sure, but there is a guy in the UK making them.

I bought 2 in Feb of this year. They were on ebay for 23$.

Looks interesting, but may not works well...

So far I load my 2240, I always use my finger tip to push the pellet into the barrel then close the bolt... I don't like to just drop the pellet on the tray then use the bolt to push it into the barrel... I never found that the bolt can push it into the barrel smoothly... Not mention the wadcutter, even the domed pellet looks a bit wired while being pushed by the bolt to get into the breech....

And with this mod, can you still be able to aim?! Looks it's broking anything... And we are not using a high profile rings to mount the 60mm size scope on the pistol, right?!

Worked fine for me. And I only had med rings and was enough room for it.

That's great! MEd rings too, that's awesome! So, is it open on top? If you are carrying it hunting will the pellets fall out?

Well you put 4 on the tray and once you cocked the gun, they would roll and get sacked above the probe. If you tilted the gun upside down the pellets would fall out. But I bet if you went hunting you could put a piece of tape over to prevent them from falling out.

If you keep the gun level it would be fine.

The getting sacked above the probe I'm guessing is stacked? Is that mean they are fine, just ready for the next shot? Tape should work hey, you'd just have to carry more tape with you to replace the old tape I suppose once you reload. Should work. These still on ebay?

Yeah once you opened the bolt, the pellets would roll and stack on top of each other. And would be ready for use. I believe that was for if you had a scope mount for easy loading.

I mean it had the flaws, I mean the rubber band, and the open top. So if the band broke I don't think it would work, and two stuff could get in and or pellets fall out. I mean it wasn't perfect, but it worked and was at least it was a cheap option for multi shot.

I checked ebay and didn't see it. Went in my purchase history and tried to click the link and no longer listed.

Ok too bad. Maybe a guy can still get ahold of him somehow.
