I have a RM 422 Mendoza (22cal) air rifle. Have been trying to track down parts and especially seals. Anyone have an address I can contact for these parts?

Hi Scott,

I too have an RM422 air rifle and although I got a good one, I did some research for parts, ''just in case''. I didn't find a lot of parts sources/infos, this rifle seems to be a black sheep amongst the Mendoza/Crosman clan. However PyramydAir/Oshoot have some parts availables: https://www.oshoot.ca/en/43-mendoza-parts No seals though.

I found a cross reference chart in PDF format showing that the main seal is the same for all air rifles models listed, so maybe if you find a source for a specific model chances are the seal may fit your rifle. The models listed in the chart are:

RM-177, RM-222, RM-277, RM-377, RM-522, RM-577, RM-677, RM-622, RM-777, RM-877. Original piston seal part # seems to be RM-163. I believe I saw somewhere the 522 is very similar to the 422.

An option I see is using those screw-on seals made to replace leathers seals, like this one https://www.airgunsource.ca/en/vortek-v ... eplac.html, but machining the piston would be required. If you can't find a source for a seal, custom machining one could be another option. I made a piston seal out of Teflon for an old Relum rifle and it gave great results, more power and smoother shot cycle.

Hope that helps.
