The Umarex Colt Python and Brodax (same gun just different look) both share the same 10 shots rotary clips. But when shooting 10 shots it's easy to lose count and waste co2 when you realize your last shot was just air…

But looking at the rotary clips I noticed that the aft side of the clips have 6 molded dimples evenly spaced on the exterior perimeter.

I realized that anyone of those dimples will be hidden twice when revolving around during shooting. Once at the top hidden by the valve and again at the bottom when passing behind the lower frame. These two positions correspond to shot #1 and shot #5.

Consequently, I painted a single dimple in white color on each rotary clip. Now when I load a new clip I make sure to position the white dimple so I can’t see it behind the valve. After shot #1, the white dimple will become visible on the right. It will again disappear on shot #5.
As you can see on the next picture I now can easily figure out that the shot I’m about to take is #9.

Now even when fast shooting I don’t bother counting my shots…I just keep an eye on the dot…
