I just bought a 46M and it looks like the breech seal needs to be replaced. I can’t find any videos or instructions. Seems like it would be simple but I don’t want to assume anything. Suggestions/instructions requested.

Did you find the replacement seal yet?

I remember I read somewhere it's just pull out the old one, then insert the new one...

I will try to find that out again and let you know... But I think maybe you can get a quick answer from someone else here quicker than me ~ :)

Oh... And did you notice the air leaking and fps dropped?! Maybe you can just give it some pellgunoil and it can still last a very long time...

I’m getting about 418fps with 7g pellets. I ordered some pellgun oil but not received yet.

That's for sure some where is leaking... Mine shooting above 480 with the R10 7g pellets...

Do you still have the spare seal which comes with the gun?

I am not sure where to get the spare seal but I still have mine in the small plastic bag.

Pellgunoil is a good quick fix to any seals... Just a drop will be good enough. Use your finger tip to rub it into the seal...

Yes, the gun came with a couple of seals and O rings. The seal,on the bottom of the bolt looks to be in much better shape than the breech seal. I tried to post a pic but it probably didn’t show up well.

The seal looks conical. I assume the large end goes into the recess but will it need a little oil on it first? Take the old one out with tweezers or fingers only so you don’t mar the metal. It seems like it would be easy but I don’t want to assume anything and then find out later something like - “watch for the spring to come flying out”. :(

lol~ never heard about a spring hiding behind the seal ~

I doubt your seal was damaged because after shooting, before putting it back into the case, you didn't release the ...., the thing. So it keep on pushing the seal to the breach all the time...

You need to push the cover forward to release up the seal-lock always before store the gun. That's the most important note from the previous owner of my Izzy... Image

A spring would surprise me too but after disassembling a few firearms I try to avoid surprises.

Great note and pic regarding taking the pressure off the seal, thanks. The guy I bought it from never mentioned it and I don’t think he did it.
