I purchased a used GAMO P900 IGT off the forum and basically from the first shot it was underwhelming, no power and horrible sights. It had a fibre optic front sight and a piece of bright yellow plastic with a notch cut in it for a rear sight, and it was only adjustable for windage not elevation. It was shooting 3" low at 15 FT.

I took it apart to have a look at the power plant, there was a plastic threaded end piece behind the gas ram that was countersunk for a 1/4" drive ratchet. It was not screwed in all the way, so I turned it in until it butted up against the gas ram and reassembled. After doing this I found it hit a lot harder. I have attached the exploded parts schematic to show the adjustment.

As far as the sights went, I went to Cabella's and purchased a Weaver Mount for $10 which I attached to the composite barrel with four #4 X 3/8" screws. I then mounted a Red Dot Sight. When I tried to cock the pistol the shoulder of the frame would hit the underside of the Weaver Mount, so I rounded off the shoulder on each side. I also had to widen in between the shoulders for the same reason. I hope the pictures are self explanatory.

The last picture shows the results once the Red Dot was sighted in, range was 15 feet, using Daisy .177 Flat Nosed Pellets, rested position. It's definitely a keeper now.

EDI: I can't load all the pics in one post so I'll have to break it up into two posts

Jim

Did you put thread lock on the end cap when you tightened it? if not, no worries. When you notice the velocity drop off next time make sure to add some. Looks like a fun gun to tinker with.
