5- loosen set screw for the valve assembly

6-unscrew the valve assembly , this can be done with the same snap ring pliers

7- pull out barrel from breech end .

I have added a set screw to secure the barrel into the action . There are a few pics of he location available online . It should also be mentioned to not over torque the barrel tensioning nut . One more thing , before removing the trigger frame and loosening the 4 mounting screws , take the spring tension off of the hammer spring . With the spring tension you will likely strip the screw holes in the action . Don’t ask how I know this .

Does the set screw you added for the barrel improve accuracy, or make it easier to assemble?

The set screw is there for two reasons . The first is to hold the barrel in place so the front tension nut can be taken off with little effort . The second is for holding the barrel in place to where I clock the barrel . Barrel clocking is for when the bore is off center , I index the barrel so the poi is at 12 o’clock . If you barrel bore is off Centre and is shooting to the left or right . Any canting while shooting will magnify the misalignment.
