Hello everyone.
I have begun to get into the older rifles.
Eventually I plan to replace the main springs on all of them.
I'm doing good making my own leather seals.
When they were stripped down I should have took measurements but didn't.
They all look about the same outside.
Gecado 22 and 23
Two slavias 618
Lucznik model 177 ( not pellet size)
Would all take the same spfing.
And is there anywhere closer to buy than chambers in Scotland.
Thank you.

Maybe helpful if we know where you live you think? :) If you live across the little pond from where I am, yes Scotland may be the closest. Have my doubts they would all take the same spring. CHEERS!

And I think you can't buy a spring by measuring it's length and size after taking it out from the gun. Because once the new spring been installed and cocked for a few times, it will become a 'set spring' which the length will shortened from 1/2 to 1 maybe more inches due to the compressing...

So have to stick to the model number or refer to the website's spec...

D&L airguns in BC has an assortment of springs on their website.

In order to find a matching spring, you will need to know wire diameter, inside diameter, outside diameter and number of coils of the spring .

I only ever replaced one main spring, but for the price point it was cheaper to get it shipped from England than BC. Shipping is a little longer but as you get older there are lots of things left to play with.
Canada post just kills us with shipping, good luck

I would agree try getting in touch with Jim Maccari at air rifle headquarters in the US. I've ordered springs and tune up kits from them.

They ship to Canada.
