Artemis CR600W PCP Air Leakage Fix

My CR600W PCP had an air leak from day one. It was moded with an Altaros Regulator, replaced the filler block with new one from PP800, replaced  the valve block and PTFE gasket, replaced o-rings on the valve extension piece, all with no noticeable change in the leakage situation. The gun will go down to atmosphere pressure overnight.

I have also replaced all the 70 durometer o-rings with tighter fitting 90 durometer ones on the filler block, gauge block, valve body with no improvement.

Today I finally decide to take steps to find out where the leak come from. Using a water filled tank and some soapy water. The leak was found through the barrel from the valve body. I took apart the valve and thoroughly sprayed electric contact cleaning solvent on it, lubed the valve stem and shaft with silicon grease then reassembled everything. It's been 6 hours now, the pressure is holding very well.

Looks like the problem is finally resolved. [emoji111][emoji111][emoji111]

I read the CR600 has some kind of tamper proof design to discourage folks from disassembling it. Can you comment on the difficulty?
Thx

Hi, actually, the CR600W PCP we talk about here is the same as the Diana Stormrider.

I have taken it apart so many times that it is becoming second nature. The only difficult part was removing the valve. You need to push it forward with a stick from the rear of the tube. Other than that, everything is easy.

Oh, sorry. Someone mentioned here on the barrel being difficult to remove. It was tough the first time, I needed to twist it hard grabbing onto the front sight. After I remove it the first time, it became much easier later.

There are many videos on YouTube that you can search for and use as reference.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Tom
