I have seen a similar Q post another day at AGN and I was wondering myself as well what the possible benefits with that SS barrel if the FX liners already on the table?
Or you asking for the barrel tube only in SS?
Unless you asking for full material, thick walls big OD...but then again why did you buy the FX at the first place vs third party brands who already have a design in your interest.
I know in US two shops are capable of making barrels from blank, and reverse engineering the FX dimensions is not really a headache for any machinist.

Back to OP, I don't think you are a big shot that you would notice a difference, sorry not an insult just my stupid comment for possible quality difference in POA vs POI.
On the other hand I agree with you, why not...make it custom, feels much better ;)

Edit: .......sorry, that was not AGN but GTA, they guy was building a custom barrel...

For a guy to make comments,like you have done. You are a real piece of work !! I'll definitely look elsewhere.When looking to ,possibly putting canadians to work.

You could put canadians to work if you/they find a material this side of the border.
Contact Hobbyman2007, he made me two barrels for the PP750 but again I bought and sent him the blanks.

Back to OP, what is wrong with the FX barrel/liner? Or you want to cast your own caliber?
