A friend just found out I was getting back into messing with air guns so he dropped off an older 1322 and a .177 Chinese Pioneer brake action springer for me to fix. The 1322 is easy but I have no idea where to find new seals for the Pioneer, they all seem to be leather. Anyone have any suggestions on where to find these? Thank you.

Leather OEM breech seals can be replaced with o-rings instead from the local hydraulics shop....theres a way to also switch the piston seal from leather to nylon but don't know how its done...
found this...https://www.nbroadsman.me.uk/index.php/ ... conversion

I think I might be good now. I dug out the old leather breech seal and jammed an o ring in to replace it. Then I hand cycled the piston/action a bunch with a little Crosman oil (two drops) while rotating the rifle horizontally to try and get a little oil into the whole circumference of the piston seal.

Before I did anything it averaged 330fps, now it is averaging 537fps with good snug fitting pellets.

Put some silicon oil on the leather seal let it soak it up some people use neatsfoot oil you would be surprised how good they can come back ..............

I put a piston ,seal down in a plastic disposable cup with a 1/2" of Neat's foot oil in it from an old Hungarian pellet gun with leather seals. Left it for a week and it swelled up quite nicely after 30 years of hard use.
