Hello everyone, time to lurk less and post again!

Yesterday I finally got my new toy - the Crosman F11NP. Feels like a very solid rifle, did some plinking yesterday and today, and compared to my 2240 this this is awesome! It’s quiet, accurate, and decently powerful.

Let’s cut to the chase - on the crosman Canada website and on the box it’s stated that the rifle shoots up to 495fps. But the manual that came with the rifle states it shoots up to 900fps.

I also read somewhere that crosman detune these rifles by drilling a hole somewhere? Is this true? If so, is it possible to get it up to full power?

Another question I have is I want to add a strap to it since the rifle really has some weight to it. Unfortunately there appear to be no clipping points for a strap... any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I also decided to buy one of these when it went on sale at CT. The promo material sounded good and the price was right. After getting it home and attaching the scope I took it out back to try to zero in the scope. I tried and tried, but to no avail. Was starting to think it was me, not the rifle so I took out my crosman optimus and was able to put the pellets on target. From the picture you can see the pellets are all over the place with the F11. Took it back to CT and they exchanged it for another, but had the same problem. I was then advised by CT to send it to the Gravel Agency...the company that does Crosman warranty work. CT was kind enough to pick the shipping tab (with a gift card). The Gravel Agency was great to work with and they sent me a new rifle that they had set up and tested and all is now good. The one I have now is fairly accurate and packs a decent punch for a sub 495 rifle (no doubt the .22 calibre pellet has way more energy than the .177).
